To be honest, most conservatives get their news/policies from gay people. If you look into the histories of the majority of the guys who routinely vote against our rights, almost all of them have had secret/public gay relations at some point. It’s delightfully ironic.

Also, “well Matt/Milo is gay” is a weak argument (I know you weren’t making that argument, but it’s a popular one to use whenever the topic of how the GOP treats gay people comes up). Just because you’re gay doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to support gay people. In fact, a lot of the violence committed against gay people is from other gay people. It shouldn’t come as a surprise though, it’s like that in most communities. :/
